January 2013 summery – The War Against Hair Loss Continues

The new regime I built earlier this month is working out pretty well so far, I have almost no hair loss and in addition some areas have slightly filled out  (emphasis on slightly). Unlike previous times, I don’t want to give the credit for this to one product or the other, but just to review thoroughly the products I’ve used this month and will be going forward with in February.

Minoxidil 5% by rogaine

once a day. lately I’ve ordered a rather serious amount of rogaine so until I finish that I don’t intend on trying a different minoxidil. So for now I’m just keeping a look out for reviews on Rogaine’s main competitors – MaXus 5% or Lipogain

Shampoo- Nutrifolica and Revita on and off

Nutrifolica cleans the hair better and is chemical free, while Revita contains a lot of substances that help treatment such as Ketoconazole. Both are excellent shampoos.

Crinagen

at night before going to bed. Even though the smell is not very pleasant, I’m still very pleased with the product.

Nutrifolica liquid

once a day. I thought about cutting this one,  but seeing as I’m in a very positive trend, I’m a little apprehensive about letting it go at this point.

JBCO

once a week. I put on a very small amount and let it sit there for around 30-60 minutes, and then shampoo. Recommended if you have dandruff/redness.

Roller

I started out with twice a week but moved up pretty quickly to three. If you’re thinking of investing 200 dollars in a laser comb, I recommend you try buying a 10 dollar roller first. I think the roller might even be preferable to the comb, as it really invigorates the scalp and the blood flow. At the end of the month I will have a more fully formed opinion about it, but in terms of sensation, I feel it creates a very serious synergy for the treatment- by it’s own contribution and also by helping the other products penetrate the scalp better.
